My documentary project about Lebanese Americans, "From Brummana to Birmingham: A Lebanese American Family," has been exhibited in Carrboro and Raleigh, North Carolina, Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia. Please contact me with comments or questions about the project. Currently I am working on a documentary project with writer Bethany Chaney, "Arab Americans: Common Ground and Diversity." For more information, please contact me. My freelance work includes portraits, photographs of spaces, live and promo photographs of musicians, and photographing for non-profits and universities. The portraits − formal and informal − are of families, friends and individuals. The photographs of spaces are of landscapes, bridges and buildings. The photographs in the spaces section are available for purchase as individual prints, framed or unframed. Non-profit and university clients include the Carolina Alumni Review, the UNC School of Government, the Carrboro ArtsCenter and DHIC, the Downtown Housing Improvement Corporation. I am available for freelance work locally and out−of−town. Please contact me for prices and availability. I am based in the Washington DC area. I graduated from James Madison University in 1999 with a degree from the School of Media Arts and Design, with a concentration in print journalism. In 2001, I moved to North Carolina to study at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. For my project for the Certificate in Documentary Studies, which I completed in June 2003, I photographed at SeeSaw Studio, an after-school program for Durham high school students to learn about design and business. I have also studied at the International Center of Photography in New York City and the Maine Photographic Workshops in Rockport, Maine. My photographs have been exhibited in North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC. 571−263−2073 |
